Sermon — "Grace: Unmerited Favour" (Pastor Andy Ducasse)
Drawing from Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 3:24, Romans 5:17-21, Titus 2:11-14, and 1 Corinthians 15:10-11, the key themes were:
Grace is a free gift — salvation, righteousness, and justification cannot be earned; they come freely through Christ alone.
Sin-conscious vs Christ-conscious — believers should stop dwelling on sin and instead walk in the freedom and resurrection power of Christ.
Grace empowers service — receiving grace creates a responsibility to be used by God, both inside and outside the church.
Take Jesus to the streets — the church needs to be trained and equipped to witness naturally in everyday situations (restaurants, hospitals, neighbourhoods).
Pray strategically — pray for godly leadership over South Africa rather than racial or political agendas.
Serve faithfully — be a servant in the house of God; God promotes the faithful.
